Truelove Trail by Mary Shotwell

This is a sweet romance set on the stunning Appalachian Trail by Mary Shotwell. The setting is almost like another character in this book, with its stunning lake, apple orchards and vibrant small town. You can almost smell the apples, and the pastries at the bakery, because the descriptions are so evocative.

Tracy is an adventurer, however, and she often gets tired of small town-life, but she is helping her Great-Aunt Dee with her lodge before she sets off again on her travels. When Ben, a backpacker arrives, and stays to help his friend Dee, Tracy is suspicious. She soon decides that he is not taking advantage of her aunt, however, but she resists the growing attraction between them, especially when Aunt Dee gets them to test dates for her new matchmaking idea!

Ben's parents died young, and he has come back to the small town where he used to live, but should he claim his inheritance? How can he hide this secret from Tracy?

I enjoyed this touching, light romance. I do have one big jibe, however. The author didn't spell 'Sydney' correctly!

I received this free ebook from City Owl Press in return for an honest review.
