Love & Frida Kahlo An anthology of art and poetry by Cheryl Robson; Pablo Neruda; Gabriel Garcia Lorca; Gabriela Mistral; Antonio Machado; Rosalia de Castro with Frida Kahlo (Illustrator)
Frida Kahlo is endlessly fascinating, so it was a joy to read this beautifully curated book of her interesting and colourful paintings, together with poems from mostly Latin American poets. I found the writing quite factual, but it was an extremely informative book about her life, and work. I also enjoyed the potted biographies of her friends, and lovers, who each deserve a book to themselves! Most of them probably have one, or more.
It is quite depressing, because she had such a painful time, but she certainly lived a very full life in spite of it!
I received this free ebook from NetGalley in return for an honest review.
