Praying with the Saints An Inspired Collection of Holy Wisdom by Woodeene Koenig-Bricker
This is a lovely collection of short biographies and prayers of the saints from famous ones, such as St Francis and St Claire to lesser-known ones. I enjoyed it, especially some of the more surprising anecdotes, such as the one about St Polycarp who called the heretic Marcion ‘the first-born of Satan,’ or St Teresa of Avila’s saying that: ‘God and chocolate are better than God alone!’ There are also many that I’d like to know more about, including Rose Hawthorne, the daughter of the famous writer.
I received this free ebook fromNetGalley in return for an honest review.
