Henry V's Brother John of Lancaster, Regent of France by Joanna Arman
I enjoyed this book about Henry V’s little-known brother, the Duke of Bedford. He was a responsible man who took his duties concerning governing England and France seriously. He was even the leader of a huge victory, probably just as important as his famous brother’s. However, he was treated badly and the myths concerning his treatment of Joan of Arc persist to this day.
Joan’s story was the most interesting part of the book. I read a lot about her years ago but this book made me want to revisit her role in history.
I received this free ebook from NetGalley in return for an honest review.
