Bad Luck Shamrock: A sweet forced proximity YA romance (The Luck Bringer) by Julia Zieschang

A European road trip, Celtic mythology, sweet romance and new friendships. What could be better/
This was a delightful YA adult novel which any teenage girl would love. I really enjoyed it. I also liked the philosophy sprinkled throughout the book, and the theme of hopefulness.

Mia, the heroine, finds it difficult to get over her outgoing and beautiful sister's death. She retreats to her room, finding comfort in books, but she is secretly keen on Jonas, who ignores her. Her young and rather permissive Mum wants her to go out, and even have a boyfriend, although she is only fifteen. Mia, desperate and lonely, tells a Luck-Bringer her wish to be connected, but she gets more than she bargained for! She becomes chained to the awful Felix, and they have to go to Ireland, to get 'disconnected'. Along the way, they meet Hugo and Jocelyn, who become good friends.

This is a lovely coming-of-age story. I won this through the Early Reviewers competition at Library Thing in exchange for an honest review.
