Right Way Up by Fiona McCallum

This was a sweet book, and easy to read. Colin, a psychologist, dedicated to his career and concernedfor his clients, hates the idea of retiring. His wife, Joyce, wants to travel around Australia in a luxurious caravan, but he’s not keen on that, understandably. When she suddenly becomes interested in causes and takes off to join an activist group, Colin is left on his own.

This does him good, because he was quite dependent on Joyce, who was bossy, and took over. Now he has to cook, make new friends, and decide how he’s going to live the rest of his life. It becomes easier when he meets Shirley, who is rather more likeable than Joyce. Colin does seem to be one of those men who needs a woman to take charge, though! I enjoyed this, so I will definitely look for other books by Fiona McCallum.
