On Traigh Lar Beach Stories by Dianne Ebertt Beeaff She Writes Press

Traigh lar, North end. Wind blown sand at the North end of Traigh lar

When Dianne Beaff was walking on Traigh Lar Beach in the Scottish Hebrides, she noticed several motley items tangled in the seaweed and she wrote down notes for a short story collectionThese beautifully written stories in exotic locations are haunting and thoughtful. I found several of them very miserable, but the magical story set in Quebec City about a young widow made up for that! The characters are all interesting and range from very young to middle-aged. Beaff paints the locations with her words so well that you really feel that you can see all the settings!

I found it difficult to get into the novella about fans of a rock group but I was impressed with the short stories.

I received this free ebook from She Writes Press in return for an honest review.
